Description
For more than 30 years, The Ambrosia Bakery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been at the center of Southern celebrations – from Mardi Gras spreads to birthday parties – and this Famous Fresh Strawberry Cake is one of the reasons why. Layers of moist yellow butter cake are filled and topped with light, creamy whipped topping and finished with fresh strawberries. A signature recipe that put this family-owned bakery on the map and defined what a strawberry cake should taste like across Louisiana.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- The Ambrosia Bakery ships Monday through Wednesday each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight
- Cake ships frozen with dry ice, may dissipate in transit.
- Do not handle dry ice with bare hands.
- Upon arrival, place in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the dreezer for up to 6 months. Do not leave at room temperature.
- Once thawed and to store leftovers, keep covered in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and quality.
To Serve
- While cake is still frozen, carefully remove the shrink wrap and protective food-grade wrapping from the cake.
- Place the entire cake box with the uncovered cake into the refrigerator overnight to thaw completely.
- After thawing, gently smooth the whipped icing if needed using the included Ambrosia Bakery cake knife, as slight movement may occur during shipping.
- Add the included Single Whole Fresh Strawberry Topper before serving for the perfect finishing touch.
- Slice and serve chilled using the included Ambrosia Bakery cake knife.
- Best enjoyed chilled!
