Potato Pancakes

Crisp-edged potato pancakes that turn a few humble ingredients into something worth craving, served the traditional way with sour cream and applesauce. They’re a Ukrainian staple Veselka has griddled for decades. The East Village diner has been a New York institution since Ukrainian refugees Wolodymyr and Olha Darmochwal founded it in 1954, and it’s still family-run today. A side dish with old-world roots.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Veselka ships on Monday-Friday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Potato pancakes ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
• Upon arrival, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

To Serve

• Preheat oven to 400°F.
• Place frozen pancakes on an ungreased sheet pan.
• Place in oven and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes, flipping the potato pancakes after the first 10 minutes.
• Serve and enjoy!

Pierogis – Add On

• Allow pierogi to defrost completely and cook in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
• Optional: After boiling, pan-fry pierogis in butter until golden brown.
• Serve & enjoy!
