The classic New Orleans King Cake starts with cinnamon-laced, hand-braided brioche, glazed in creamy icing and showered in the Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold. This is the version that won Maurice French Pastries the People’s Choice award at the 2016 New Orleans King Cake Festival, baked by French chef Jean-Luc Albin in Metairie, Louisiana since 1989. Each ships complete with beads, doubloons, and the plastic baby hidden inside to crown next year’s host. Perfect for a Mardi Gras gathering, a Carnival-season workplace tradition, or a first taste of the real New Orleans thing.

- Maurice’s French Pastries ship Monday-Thursday of each week.
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping.
- Arrives ready to enjoy
- Kept in a cool dry area, away from light, cakes may be enjoyed for up to a week
- Frozen and double wrapped, cakes may be enjoyed for up to 3 months
- To serve from frozen, set the cake out at room temperature for about 2 hours before serving
