This kit contains everything you need for perfect turkey and ham dinners: sliced turkey breast, sliced smoked ham, homestyle stuffing, homemade mashed potatoes, Ocean Spray cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, mac & cheese, green beans, and cornbread. It’s perfect for any night of the week!

Located inside Philly’s famed Reading Terminal Market since 1983, family owned-and-operated The Original Turkey was founded by Roger Bassett, who can still be found at the market, roasting over 40 turkeys every day and carving them by hand. These are some of the most pampered turkeys on earth. High-quality turkey breasts are brined and coated in a signature herb rub before being “steam roasted” to tender, juicy perfection. And don’t even get us started on the ham!

This package serves up to 8 people and includes

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• The Original Turkey ships Monday-Wednesday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• This package ships with ice packs which may thaw in transit.
• Upon arrival, remove food packages from the box and place in refrigerator immediately.
• Items may be stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days or frozen 3 months
• If items arrive frozen, we do recommend thawing before cooking.

To Serve

Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 30-40 Minutes
We recommend Sous Vide-style reheating for pouched food.

Recommended

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Fill the largest pot (or two) you have halfway with water and bring to boil.
• When water begins to boil add Meat, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans & Gravy pouches to boiling water and turn heat down to low heat.
• Cook Pouches approximately 25 minutes or until internal temp of 140 degrees.
• Remove Stuffing and Mac & Cheese from pouches and place in oven safe dishes. Cook in oven for about 30 minutes or until internal temperature of 140 degrees. Cover Stuffing with Foil. Remove cornbread from pouch and warm in oven for last 5 minutes if desired.
• Carefully remove food from pots, pouches, oven,-containers will be HOT!
• Serve & Enjoy!

Alternate Cooking Method: Green Beans & Mashed Potatoes

• Remove from pouch and place in microwave safe dish.
• Cover to prevent spilling, cook on high 3 minutes.
• Stir and re-cover.
• Cook 2-3 more minutes on high. Add a little milk to mashed potatoes if creamier version is desired.
• Let stand 1 minute. Containers will be HOT.

Alternative Cooking Method for Turkey and Gravy

• Open turkey pouch and slice meat to desired thickness.
• Put sliced turkey and gravy in a pot together.
• Heat on medium-low oven-top, stirring occasionally until temperature of 150 degrees

Alternative Cooking Method for Ham

• Remove ham from pouch.
• Pour juices from pouch in the bottom of a skillet.
• Slice meat to desired thickness and place in skillet with juices.
• Heat on medium heat until hot, turning after 1-2 minutes.

Alternative Cooking Method for Mac & Cheese

• Fill large pot halfway with water and bring to a boil
• When water begins to boil add the pouches to the water and turn down heat to low heat
• Cook pouches approx. 25 minutes or until internal temp of 140 degrees
• Carefully remove food from pouches-Contents will be HOT
