Description
For generations, the benne seed, long known as the “seed of good luck,” has been a beloved ingredient in Southern kitchens. Our Benne Wafers continue that rich tradition, baked the same time honored way using a recipe that dates back more than 300 years.
Since 1954, we’ve crafted these delicate cookies with plenty of crunchy benne seeds and sweetened them with a warm blend of maple and brown sugar. The result is a light, crisp wafer that is sweet, nutty, and irresistibly crunchy. One bite, and it’s easy to see why this Southern classic has stood the test of time.
