Coconut Cake

Moist, buttery yellow cake layers under a fluffy whipped coconut icing, the whole thing blanketed in sweetened coconut flakes. It’s the kind of snow-white coconut cake the South sets out for Easter and Sunday dinner. Edgar’s Bakery has baked it in Birmingham since Terry and Dottie Smith opened in 1998 – a classic from the bakery Taste of the South calls Alabama’s best.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Edgar’s Bakery ships Monday-Thursday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Cakes ship frozen with dry ice.
• Dry ice may dissipate in transit.
• Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
• Store cake in the freezer for up to 45 days or in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To Serve

• Thaw cake in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Bring cake to room temperature 1 hour prior to serving.
• Slice & enjoy!
