Russ & Daughters Originals brings together many of the specialties that built our reputation, from hand-sliced smoked salmon and classic bagels with cream cheese to old-world favorites like whitefish & baked salmon salad and pickled herring with cream and onions. The collection is rounded out with the sweet staples that have long filled our counters and family tables alike: raspberry rugelach, rich chocolate babka, and iconic black and white cookies. Each item reflects the craftsmanship, traditions, and flavors that have connected our shop to customers since 1914. INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Russ & Daughters ships Monday-Friday of each week
• No deliveries Sunday or Monday
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will incur an additional $35 charge for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• All Russ and Daughters smoked salmons will stay fresh for 7-10 days after the time of purchase or delivery. Keep refrigerated. Though ideally consumed fresh, smoked salmon can be frozen if tightly wrapped when you receive it. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
• Store bagels in their plastic bag at room temperature for up to two days. If you’d like to keep them longer, put them in the freezer.
• Due to the artisanal nature of our products, and the fact that they are not loaded with gums and preservatives (as is the norm with supermarket brands), cream cheese will keep fresh for approx. 1 week in the refrigerator. We do not recommend freezing cream cheese.
• Babka keeps about a week from the time you receive it. Store at room temperature. Freezing is not recommended

To Serve

Salmon

• The nova is cold smoked. This is a slow and exacting process in which the fish is carefully infused with a secret blend of wood essences in a special oven where the temperature never rises above 83 degrees Fahrenheit. This traditional process creates the silkiness of smoked salmon. The kippered salmon, on the contrary, is hot smoked, giving it a flaky, yet juicy, consistency.
• All salmon arrives hand-sliced, and easy to plate and ready to enjoy.

Bagels

• Preheat oven to 350°F and put bagels on a sheet pan.
• For room-temperature bagels, bake for 6 minutes. For frozen bagels, bake for 10 minutes.
• Slice, schmear, and enjoy!
