Sandwich Kit + Matzo Ball Soup for 4-6

It’s the perfect Jewish deli lunch! Start off with housemade matzo ball soup, and follow it up with homemade old-fashioned pastrami or corned beef, piled onto fresh-baked rye bread from Rockland Bakery with a schmear of Gold’s New York Deli Mustard. Serve with a side of homemade coleslaw and a pickle!

Chef Nick Liberato has been a personal chef to the stars, a top-tier LA caterer, and co-creator of Netflix’s “Restaurants on the Edge.” And after being introduced to entrepreneur Mike Dalewitz – whose family had run resorts in the Catskills’ famed Borscht Belt – in 2020, the duo decided to write a love letter to the classic Jewish deli by opening Borscht Belt Delicatessen. At Borscht Belt, they’re making all of their classic Jewish deli meats in-house, the old fashioned way and turning them into some truly spectacular sandwiches, served on fresh-baked rye bread.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• The Borscht Belt Delicatessen ships Tuesday and Thursday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys.

• Sandwich Kit + Matzo Ball Soup ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
• Upon arrival, store soup in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for 3 months.
• Upon arrival, store meat and sides in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
• For a longer shelf life, meat may be stored in the freezer in the original wrapping for up to 2 months.
• Do not freeze sides.
• All other ingredients may be stored in the refrigerator for 5-7 days.

To Serve

Matzo Ball Soup

• Defrost soup overnight in refrigerator.
• Place in pot over medium-high heat.
• Bring to boil and cook covered for 2-3 mins.
• Enjoy!

Pastrami + Corned Beef Sandwich

• Bring pastrami or corned beef to room temperature.
• Heat pan on med/high heat, add meat and cook for 1 minute.
• Flip meat and add 2 tablespoons of water.
• Cover meat and cook for 3-5 minutes.
• Schmear NY Deli Mustard on rye and add hot pastrami or corned beef.
• Pair with coleslaw and a pickle.
• Enjoy!
