Description
A raspberry turn on the cake the Huffington Post called the best America has ever made: the same light, airy sponge as the original, layered this time with raspberry filling, wrapped in raspberry buttercream, and crowned with crunchy toasted almonds. Henry Prantl invented the original Burnt Almond Torte in 1970, inspired by an Anaheim baker’s recipe he reworked into a sweet yellow cake with custard. Prantl’s still makes it by hand in the German tradition that built its Pittsburgh name.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- This product ships free via 2-day shipping to most states.
- Prantl’s Bakery ships Monday- Friday of each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!
- Tortes are made-to-order and promptly frozen.
- Although each box is carefully packed and picked up for immediate shipment, it is normal for the cake to partially or fully thaw during shipment.
- Upon receipt, please refrigerate or place in the freezer.
- Each torte will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 7 days.
- If you wish to keep your torte longer, you can store it in the freezer for up to 6 months.
