Janie’s iconic 3-layered pie crust cookie! This treat features a pie crust disc on the bottom, a carrot cake filling center, and streusel on top. The carrot cake filling is a twist on a classic, gooey pecan filling – featuring a healthy dose of carrots and walnuts for the perfect Spring treat. To finish it off, the buttery streusel is topped with a drizzle of vanilla glaze.
After years of struggling with addiction and homelessness, Janie Deegan began baking as an act of self-care while working to rebuild her life and stay sober. Baking had always brought her joy as a child, so in 2015 she began baking treats for friends. She turned this into a small business selling pies for Thanksgiving, and it took off from there: Janie today has three storefronts in New York City and is shipping nationwide.
