Description
Tender chicken simmered in a rich tomato sauce built on all the classic Creole spices, an iconic Louisiana dish that shines on its own or over rice. The recipe is Leah Chase’s, the Queen of Creole Cooking, who grew a 1941 Treme sandwich shop into one of the country’s first African American fine dining rooms. Still family-owned, the landmark earned her a James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. Three quarts of down-home New Orleans cooking.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- Dooky Chase’s ships Tuesday-Friday of each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!
- Chicken Creole ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit
- Chicken Creole may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
To Serve
Stovetop
- Defrost pack in sink with cold water. Defrost until ingredients are soft enough to pour into sauce pot.
- Pour ingredients into sauce pot and put on medium heat.
- Stir occasionally so that ingredients do not stick to the bottom of the pot and scratch. Bring to a rolling boil.
- Serve as is or over rice and enjoy a touch of Dooky Chase’s in your home!
Microwave
- Defrost pack in sink with cold water. Defrost until ingredients are soft enough to pour into sauce pot.
- Pour ingredients into a soup bowl cover with plastic wrap.
- Heat in microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Stir and place back in microwave for 2 minutes. Test to make sure food is hot.
- Serve as is or over rice and enjoy a touch of Dooky Chase’s in your home!
