Description
Smoky, spiced, and built on two kinds of Cajun sausage, this red Creole jambalaya is a New Orleans classic done the way only a legend could. The recipe is Leah Chase’s, the Queen of Creole Cooking, who turned a 1941 Treme sandwich shop into one of the country’s first African American fine dining rooms. Still family-owned, the landmark earned her a James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. Three quarts of the Crescent City in a pot.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- Dooky Chase’s ships Tuesday-Friday of each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!
- Creole Jambalaya ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit
- Creole Jambalaya may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
To Serve
Stovetop
- Defrost pack in sink with cold water. Defrost until ingredients are soft enough to pour into sauce pot.
- Pour ingredients into sauce pot and put on medium heat.
- Stir occasionally so that ingredients do not stick to the bottom of the pot and scratch. Bring to a rolling boil.
- Serve as is or over rice and enjoy a touch of Dooky Chase’s in your home!
Microwave
- Defrost pack in sink with cold water. Defrost until ingredients are soft enough to pour into sauce pot.
- Pour ingredients into a soup bowl cover with plastic wrap.
- Heat in microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Stir and place back in microwave for 2 minutes. Test to make sure food is hot.
- Serve as is or over rice and enjoy a touch of Dooky Chase’s in your home!
