JFK’s Wedding Cake

The cake Montilio’s made for John F. Kennedy and Jackie’s 1953 wedding, recreated by hand from the original: a vanilla sponge layered with raspberry preserves and frosting, finished in buttercream. The same recipe has since graced the inaugural balls of JFK, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush, and even reached the Pope’s table. Montilio’s has baked near Boston since 1947, now in its third generation, still working by hand with simple ingredients – a genuine piece of American history you can put on your own table.

• This cake ships frozen with dry ice, dry ice may dissipate in transit
• Delicately remove the cake from packaging and carefully remove the plastic wrap and cardboard border surrounding the cake.
• If serving immediately, place it on your counter to thaw out, otherwise store it in your fridge
• This cake will last at room temperature for 6 hours
