From the Historic West Adams District of Los Angeles, where Sweet E’s Bake Shop has drawn a Hollywood following since 2009, comes a Matcha Cake that trades the shop’s brownies-and-jars reputation for something quieter and greener. Soft, moist layers of matcha vanilla cake are filled and frosted with silky vanilla buttercream, the earthy notes of ceremonial-grade matcha cutting the sweet, creamy frosting. Finished with white chocolate pearls and matcha ganache, it’s scratch-baked in small batches and serves six – the kind of cake that reads as elegant before the first slice is cut.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Sweet E’s Bake Shop ships Monday through Friday each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight

• Cake ships frozen with dry ice, may dissipate during transit.
• Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
• Upon arrival, place cake in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
• Cake can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
• To store cake in the refrigerator, remove plastic from around the cake, place back in the bakery box, and place it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

To Serve

• If frozen, remove plastic from the cake, place cake back in the bakery box, and place it in the refrigerator.
• Allow cake to thaw in the fridge overnight.
• Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before serving.
• Slice and enjoy!
