This strawberry cake is quite possibly the most beautiful and delicious shade of pink you’ve ever seen. How do they make that happen? Real strawberries, of course! Sugar Avenue uses fresh strawberries throughout their cream cake batter and Plugra buttercream icing.
Ed Crenshaw spent much of the past 20 years baking cakes for some of Memphis’ most beloved restaurants. But it wasn’t until COVID-19 hit that his daughter, Miller Cowan, convinced him to step out from behind the curtain and start his own bakery. Shortly thereafter, Sugar Avenue was born. Ed sadly passed away in 2022, but his children are carrying on his mission to create cakes made with only super-premium ingredients, like Plugra butter and bourbon from Memphis’ own Old Dominick Distillery.

- Sugar Avenue ships Monday-Friday of each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes

- Cakes ship frozen with ice packs
- Ice packs and cake may thaw in transit
- Upon arrival place cake in the refrigerator or freezer
- Cake can be frozen immediately upon arrival for up to 2 months
- Cake may be kept refrigerated for up to 3 days
To Serve
- Remove plastic wrap while the cake is still frozen to ensure the icing stays nice
- Let sit at room temp for one hour before serving
