Big tides bring a unique mix of high salinity levels, nutrients and phytoplankton for the bivalves to feed and filter, contributing to their crisp and briny flavor. INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- Wellfleet Shellfish Co. ships Monday-Friday of each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Orders shipped to Alaska via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping.
- Wellfleet does not ship to Hawaii, Sorry guys!
- Oysters ship fresh with ice packs and soaked saltwater paper.
- Upon arrival, remove packaging and place the mesh bag of oysters immediately in the refrigerator.
- TIP! Place your oysters in an open bowl so they don’t leak inside the refrigerator. Cover with a damp cloth or kitchen towel to maximize their freshness.
- May be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Do Not Freeze.
- All shellfish orders are packed to withstand an extra day of transit in anticipation of weather and service delays.
