Three chocolate cake layers stacked with the sweet, gooey coconut-pecan frosting that defines a true German chocolate cake, a style that traces back to Samuel German’s 1852 baking chocolate. Edgar’s does the classic justice. The Birmingham bakery has been an Alabama favorite since Terry and Dottie Smith opened it in 1998, named the state’s best by Taste of the South and now spread across nearly a dozen locations.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Edgar’s Bakery ships Monday-Thursday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Cakes ship frozen with dry ice.
• Dry ice may dissipate in transit.
• Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
• Store cake in the freezer for up to 45 days or in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To Serve

• Thaw cake in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Bring cake to room temperature 1 hour prior to serving.
