Hard Salami (Sliced)

The hard salami at Liebman’s Kosher Deli – the last kosher deli in the Bronx, holding the line since 1953 – is the firm, deeply seasoned kosher variety that defined the Jewish deli counter before most of the Bronx’s 100-plus delis disappeared. Sliced to order, it carries the dry, spiced depth that comes from proper kosher curing; on rye with mustard it’s the most straightforward argument for why Liebman’s, under Yuval Dekel’s watch since 2002, is considered the Bronx’s most important surviving deli institution.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Liebman’s Deli ships Monday through Friday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Salami is frozen and shipped with ice packs which may thaw partially or fully during transit
• Upon arrival, place meat in the refrigerator to store

Note: Some salamis may be coated in a thin layer of white mold. This is a good thing! It’s added during the curing process to protect the salami from unsafe mold growth, to keep the salami from drying out, and to help mellow out the salami’s flavor. You’re welcome to remove the casing, but it’s completely safe to eat.
