Carmel Turtle Pie

Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop in Knoxville, Tennessee was founded by Scott and Meredith Layton in 2012, inspired by their grandmothers Ruth from Arkansas and Edith from Mississippi – two Southern women whose handwritten recipes became the foundation for every pie in the case. The Caramel Turtle Pie: buttery shortbread crust filled with rich caramel, chocolate, and toasted pecans. The Southern tradition in its most indulgent form.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Buttermilk Sky Pie ships Monday thru Thursday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Pies arrive ready to enjoy!
• If planning to enjoy at a later date, pies can be stored frozen for up to 1 month. Thaw in refrigerator overnight.
• Once thawed, cover and store the pie in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3 to 4 days. Do not refreeze once fully thawed.

To Serve
Pies are fully baked and ready to enjoy at room temperature. Warming is optional.

Whole Pie

• Preheat oven to 300°F.
• Remove all packaging and place pie on a baking sheet.
• Warm for 10 to 15 minutes, until just heated through. Do not overheat.
• Remove, serve and enjoy!

By the Slice

• Place slice on an oven-safe plate.
• Warm in a 300°F oven for 5 to 8 minutes, or microwave in 10-second increments until desired temperature is reached.
• Remove, serve and enjoy!

Optional Serving Tip
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra-indulgent experience.
