Whole Kosher Pastrami Kit for 8-10

Your shot at playing deli counterman: a whole, unsliced Certified Kosher pastrami, the same one the 2nd Ave Deli has served for more than 50 years, ready to heat, hand-slice, and pile onto rye with mustard or Russian dressing, pickles included. Abe Lebewohl turned a 10-seat East Village counter into a New York institution and a James Beard American Classic starting in 1954. Enough to feed eight to ten with sandwiches the way New York intended.

All of 2nd Ave Deli’s foods have been Certified Kosher by the International Kosher Council, and are produced and prepared under strict IKC supervision.

This package serves 8-10 people and includes

• Whole Pastrami (approx. 4-4.5 lbs.)
• Sour + Half Sour Pickles (1 qt.)
• Rye Bread (1 loaf, 24-28 slices)
• Russian Dressing (8 oz.)
• 1 bottle Mustard (10 oz.)

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• 2nd Ave Deli ships Tuesday & Thursday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Kit ships with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
• If enjoying within 2-3 days, store everything in the refrigerator. Rye bread can alternatively be stored at room temperature.
• If storing for a later use:
  • Store Russian dressing in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Store pastrami and rye bread in the freezer for up to 1 month.
  • Store pickles in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Store mustard in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

To Serve

• Whole Pastrami can be served warm or cold. For best results, heat for 2-4 hours in a vegetable steamer or double boiler on the stovetop. Slice against the grain. The meat can also be sliced and grilled, pan-fried, or (even god-forbid) microwaved.
• Toast bread if desired.

• Mustard – Distilled Vinegar, Water, #1 Grade Yellow Seed, #1 Grade Brown Seed, Mustard Seed, Salt, Turmeric, Spice.
• Rye Bread – Enriched Wheat Flour, Rye Flour, Ground Caraway Seed, Sugar, Acetic Acid, Lactic Acid, Ground Dill Seed, Water, Yeast, Corn Meal. Contains: Soy, Wheat.
• Russian Dressing – Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Sweet Relish.
