Description
Two dozen handmade pierogies split between two fillings: a dozen savory brisket and a dozen classic potato, a perfect sampling of the deli’s comfort-food side. Boil or saute them to order. The 2nd Ave Deli has turned out handmade classics like these since Abe Lebewohl opened his East Village counter in 1954, now a James Beard American Classic. The best of both fillings, no choosing required.

All of 2nd Ave Deli’s foods have been Certified Kosher by the International Kosher Council, and are produced and prepared under strict IKC supervision.
This package serves 4-6 people and includes 24 Pierogies
- 12 Brisket Pierogies (2.2 lbs.)
- 12 Potato Pierogies (2.8 lbs.)
- 1 container Gravy (8 oz.)
- 1 container Apple Sauce (12 oz.)
- 1 container Fried Onions (4 oz.)
INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- 2nd Ave Deli ships Tuesday & Thursday of each week.
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!
- Pierogies ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, store pierogies in the freezer for up to 3 months.
- Apple Sauce can be placed on the counter to fully thaw.
To Serve
- Pierogies are par-boiled and frozen before shipment, let thaw before preparing.
Pierogies – Frying
- Place defrosted pierogies in a pan with oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté until warmed throughout and golden brown on both sides.
- Add fried onions to the pan during the last 1-2 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
Pierogies – Boiling
- Place defrosted pierogies in boiling water and boil to heat throughout.
- Enjoy!
Gravy
- Reheat in a pot on the stove, or in the microwave until hot throughout.
- Serve with pierogies and enjoy!
