Unlike its Philly cousin, this cheesesteak is served on a round poppyseed Kaiser roll, with American cheese, special Donkey’s seasoning, sizzling steak, and caramelized onions. Also includes French Fries tossed in their famous, signature seasoning blend. Be prepared to unleash your inner glutton, you might not be able to stop at just one of these sandwiches. Maybe it’s sacrilegious, to say that the best cheesesteaks aren’t from Philly, but when was anything this good not a bit sinful?

Established in 1943 by Olympic heavyweight boxing champion Leon Lucas, Donkey’s Place serves what Anthony Bourdain considered America’s best cheesesteak – found not in Philly but just across the river in Camden, New Jersey! The New Jersey-style cheesesteak sandwich is served on a round poppyseed Kaiser roll, with American cheese, thin-sliced steak, and browned onions. Donkey’s Place has been featured on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and on Food Network’s list of “The Best Cheesesteaks in Philadelphia.”

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will incur an additional charge of $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Donkey’s Place Cheesesteaks ship with ice packs, ice packs may thaw in transit
• Refrigerate all ingredients except the rolls upon arrival, may be kept refrigerated for up to 3 days
• Rolls should be kept at room temperature
• French Fries may be stored in the freezer for up to 1 month.

To Serve

Cheesesteak

• Slice each Kaiser Roll in half and place a slice of American cheese on the bottom half.
• Remove meat and onions from their pouches and heat in a pan over medium heat until hot.
• Place the meat and onions on each roll and top with another slice of cheese.
• Serve and enjoy! If you would like, add hot peppers to your cheesesteak.

French Fries (Deep Fryer – Recommended)

• Heat oil to 350 F.
• Add fries to basket.
• Place in fryer and cook 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
• Drain excess oil.
• Toss with Donkey’s Special Seasoning Blend.
• Warm cheese wiz packet under warm to hot water for 30 seconds, before opening.

French Fries (Oven)

• Spray a ziploc bag with cooking oil or add 2 tbsp oil to a ziploc bag.
• Add fries, close bag and toss until evenly coated.
• Line a cooking sheet with parchment paper and spread out fries evenly.
• Bake for 5-8 minutes or until cooked through.
• Toss with Donkey’s Special Seasoning Blend.
• Warm cheese wiz packet under warm to hot water for 30 seconds, before opening.

French Fries (Air Fryer)

• Place fries in basket.
• Cook on 400 degrees for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
• Toss with Donkey’s Special Seasoning Blend.
• Warm cheese wiz packet under warm to hot water for 30 seconds, before opening.
