Two Lower East Side and Upper East Side institutions in one box: Kossar’s – the oldest bialy bakery in the United States, founded on the LES in 1936 – and Pastrami Queen, the storied New York deli Anthony Bourdain called “the real deal” for its hand-carved, overstuffed pastrami. The box brings together six Kossar’s freshly baked bagels or bialys, your choice of cream cheese and smoked fish salad, smoked salmon, a dozen mini black and white cookies, and Pastrami Queen’s sandwich kit – one pound of sliced pastrami, rye bread, pickles, and New York deli mustard. The bialy and the pastrami sandwich: the two things New York does better than anywhere else.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Kossar’s Bagels & Bialys ships Monday-Friday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will incur an additional $35 charge. Sorry guys!

• This package ships with ice packs, ice packs may thaw in transit.
• Bagels + Bialys are all natural, without any preservatives, and may be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days.
• If you wish to keep the bagels or bialys for later, they may be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. We recommend slicing before freezing.
• Store lox, cream cheese, and salads in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
• Store pastrami, pickles, and mustard in the refrigerator, and keep rye bread at room temperature. We do not recommend refreezing pastrami.
• Enjoy pastrami within 2 days.

To Serve

Pastrami Sandwich

• If frozen, thaw meat in the refrigerator. Do not thaw in the microwave.
• Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
• Place the entire UNOPENED package of meat into the water and reduce heat to a simmer (no worries – the package can withstand the heat).
• Simmer meat for 12-15 minutes. Carefully remove from water and slice open package.
• There will be enough for 4 large sandwiches or 6-8 regular-size sandwiches.
• Enjoy with the included pickles and mustard.
• Serve and enjoy!

Bagels + Bialys

• Bagels + Bialys may be enjoyed right out of the bag, or lightly toasted to bring out even more of the flavor.
• From frozen, wrap in foil and reheat in a 400° F oven for 5 minutes or just toast them.
• Serve and enjoy!
