Matzo Ball & Split Pea Soup Kit for 4-6

Two of the deli’s longtime staples in one kit: the signature matzo ball soup, with fluffy handmade matzo balls in rich chicken stock, and a slow-simmered split pea soup finished with housemade croutons, enough for four to six. Together they’re decades of Junior’s menu in a box. Harry Rosen opened Junior’s in Brooklyn in 1950, and the Rosen family still runs it from the same corner using his recipes. A comforting pair for a cold night.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Junior’s Restaurant ships Monday- Wednesday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii will incur an additional $35 charge for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Kit ships frozen with ice packs which may thaw in transit.
• Once received, all components should be refrigerated or refrozen.
• Shelf life is 3 days in the refrigerator or 1 month in the freezer.

To Serve

Matzo Ball Soup

• Thaw broth and matzoh balls in the refrigerator or leave them out on the counter for faster defrosting.
• Once thawed, pour contents into a medium saucepan
• Heat on medium-low heat until broth is simmering and matzoh balls are heated through (about 15-20 minutes).
• Towards the end of heating, add a 1/3 of a cup of noodles per quart.
• Serve alongside onion rye roll
• Serve and enjoy!

Split Pea Soup

• Thaw Soup in the refrigerator or leave them out on the counter for faster defrosting.
• Once thawed, pour soup into a medium saucepan.
• Heat on medium-low heat until broth is simmering and heated through.
• Top with croutons
• Serve and enjoy!
